Golf Balls

Crap, Kyle. If I'd known you were hitting Pro V's I would've stole some from you.:D:D

I'm currently hitting Titliest HP Tour's. But I'll hit just about anything I can get my hands on. The only Pro V1's I've hit, I picked up in the rough.:D:D

Variety here.

Titleist NXT, Pro V1's, got some really nice Callaway balls , yesterday I played with Pinnacle Extreme Feel, just tried some Maxfli Fire as well. All are playable.

I honestly think the lesser balls are geared more towards recreational golfers like all of us ('cept Craig :D). The ProV's, Nike Black, Callaway HX tour, all the high end balls are for advanced players who can hit a draw or fade at will. The dimple pattern on these balls make them more playable to better golfers, where it will just magnify a bad shot from the rest of us (turn a slight fade into a big slice).

Just my 0.02.....;)

Kev, I shoot whatever I can get ahold of too. The reason I shoot pro V 1's is cause I got in good with one of the workers here at chickasaw, so I get to go take a cart out whenever I want to look for golf balls. I have found hundreds of good balls out there. It fills up in the same places daily.

My ball this year is the Top Flite D2 Distance. I bought 6 - 15 packs (90 balls) for $78 on Ebay and Casey seems to have gone through them already. I just bought another 6 pack of 'em. Only thing they miss is the spin around the greens on short pitches. Otherwise, solid ball.

I also like Titleist DT Solo, Noodles and Nike Super Softs. You can get most of these under $20 a dozen. ;)

I can't afford to play the ProV1 or Nike Black. They are great balls, but the price isn't worth it for me.

Living on a course definately has it's advantages. I'll go for a walk with the dog every evening and pick up 20-30 balls each night. I think I've played every known ball in the last 12 months and really cannot tell any difference in any of them. I do however prefer the softer covers, they're easier on the hands and easier to stop on the greens. The Bridgstone balls seem to fly straightest, Titleist seem to fly farthest, and the Nike's have cool words on them like GINORMOUS and MOJO.
