elkoholic Posted June 10, 2008 Author Report Share Posted June 10, 2008 While Frank can be, and is in this article, very sarcastic, I believe that in this little ditty he is trying to point out that Obama is doing nothing more than saying what people want to hear, with no real plan to perform these miracles. None of Obama's thoughts are original (his own if you will) or new. This "hope" he speaks of is neither new nor realistic, but his fervent followers would follow him to their death for this "hope". I have not heard anything from him that resembles any real talk about solutions to the problems we face. He uses a lot of quotes and reflects back to what others have said in a way that seems to generate a lot of hype, unfortunately as is very apparent many people(voters) do not look farther than that. Its fine the way it is. The problem children need to be reeled in and smacked around a bit. I'm tired of hearing "healing" and "hope" and "change" also. Those words right there always rope in the sensitive vote. You know, those people who see sadness and need people in power chanting these words to help them cope because they surely can't do it on their own, nor do they wish to. It's easier to let the government do it for you. No sense of personal responsibility whatsoever. No sense of pride. No sense of honor to the foundations of this nation.
