muggs
Between these four, which would be the best buy? I know the XD's are really popular, but there's just something about a Taurus or Glock that I like. Taurus 24/7 Glock 22 Berretta 8000 Cougar Springfield SX Ported

If so, that would be my choice....and was. My ccw is an XD 40 subcompact...not ported though.
Guest bigmo9
I just bought a Glock 27, looking at getting my ccw. I already owned a Glock 19 and love it.
Hoosierbuck
The ergonomics are a little different, handle and shoot all of those and go with what feels the best to you. HB

HB I was going to mention the same thing...The grip angle of an XD is closer to that of a 1911 and the grip angle of a Glock is not. I love my Glock 27, 23 and dept issued 22...All three function flawlessly. I recommend them highly... Aoi

The liked the grip angle much better than the Glock.
Strut10
One thing's for sure..........opinions vary. Your best bet is to go get your hands on all the likely candidates and make up your own mind. To me..........the Glocks fit my hand superbly. The XD and 24/7 feel like bricks. I have not handled the Beretta. You need to do the deciding yourself. Don't overlook the Smith M&P when you handle the various guns. It's a nice quality piece. WNY_Whitetailer
I agree that the M&P line of pistols that S&W is manufaturing now deserves a look-see...Also take a look at the new XDM series from SA. They look like they have some promise.
