HarvDog
Just picked up my first-ever Ruger 10/22 with a Bushnell 2x7x32 scope. Can't wait to take it out.
toddyboman
I love mine. Which model did you get?
HarvDog
I love mine. Which model did you get? Not sure about the exact model number but it's hardwood, blued, non-youth, non-carbine.
doubleA
I remember the summer of 78 and going into the local Western Auto with my mom and plopping down $69 for mine. It has shot 1000'sf rounds since, several years back, I purchased another for my oldest daughter, it was $139....shoot now I dont know what they run but the standard model hasnt changed much. You should be good to go for a long long time Harvdog.

RangerClay
Great guns! The very first gun I ever bought with my own money was a 10/22. To this day it is still my favorite .22 and I just used it Sunday to pop a coon in my garden. Hope you have years of fun with it.
HarvDog
I'm looking to pick up a high cap mag for it. Any experience, suggestions, or ones to stay away from?
HarvDog
I'm thinking about a 30 round mag from Ramline -> http://www.ram-line.com/default.aspx
RangerClay
I'm thinking about a 30 round mag from Ramline -> http://www.ram-line.com/default.aspx I had one of those. It was nice till it broke (hey it's plastic). Unfortunately NYS will not let me order a new one. I plan to buy a new next time I leave the state. One thing I would suggest is an extended clip release. Here is a great place to trick your 10/22 http://www.hawktecharms.com/ruger/10-22.htm
too_pointer
Dog, is it a new one or used ? I had one many moons ago, in fact, it had walnut stock instead of hardwood. I spent the winter working on the stock till it glowed LOL. It was fun, and back then the aftermarket parts were alot fewer. I find now they don't fit me very good. Send us a pic when you can and congrats. too_
