cinch314
The Freedom. I can do pretty much whatever I want and get paid for it. Also, we get more paid holidays than bankers or government workers.
mrswtnhunt
As most of you know, I work at the Tennessee State Veterans Home. One of the best things I love about my job is that "I get to give back". I love sitting and listenening to their stories of when they faught in wars and we have several that were POW's. Alot of the patients here do not have any family left and only see the employees faces on a day to day basis. We are their families. I have heard some amazing stories. And if you think right now that your life is rough, you just don't know. The veterans have done so much for this country and many have suffered the unthinkable. HAVE YOU THANKED A VETERAN TODAY? I love these veterans and will do anything I can to help them (even wipe their behind) if they can't do it for themselves. It is truly the most wonderful job in the world. I know I have complained on here about all of the overtime and long hours, but truthfully, I wouldn't have it any other way. NS whitetail
I am a commercial fisherman : I love being out on the wide open ocean and the fresh air, some days are beautiful, some days are just plain out nasty ( but they're the ones that give you the rush ). Here is one of them - I have lots of days off, it's not a 9-5 job and the $$$ is good

toddyboman
the flexibility of my schedule..... Lots of time off for hunting/golf/or whatever. I get to work with computers and numbers....both of which I went to school for. So I am putting that degree to work (which makes the student loan payment a bit easier to swallow)
jcwa
The pay is excellent. I work four (12 hour) days on and get four days off. The work is easy..... most of the time.

HuntnMa
There's nothing i don't like about it....Great Boss and coworkers, benefits,I can do what i want 99% of the time, everyday I learn something new,I also get every hunt off, so I can hunt and if i'm not hunting, i'm working the check station hanging out with all of the other hunters that come in and out...etc....I guess seeing the results is the best part for me....there's nothing more rewarding....the land is being managed properly ,therefore the animals are being taken care of...seeing Quail and Turkey in areas that they haven't been in for years is the best feeling...we've always had good Turkey #'s, but we don't have many Quail and we're finally starting to see them more and more each year.Maybe next year I'll see bluebirds and wood duck in the boxes we put out, now that would be extra cool.... TreeStandBowHunter
The Marine Corps likes to travel, therefore; I do a lot of travelling:D. I been all over the world in the last 15 years with Thailand being the most recent. I would say that's what I like the best. Also, I get to retire in just 5 more years which will give me 20 years in the Marines and I will only be 41. I get to start a new career while drawing a pension at the same time while I am still young.

Shaun_300
I love my job all around. Especially working on the higher end Cadillac's and Corvettes... It's nice having the satisfaction that you can actually have these cars coming in with a problem and actually being able to figure out what's wrong with them and fix them right. It's sometimes hard with 40 different modules in some Caddy's today, but worth it in the end. I also like everyone I work with, they're like a second family to me. My boss and foreman are awesome! Jeramie
The unchecked daily schedule! I didnt leave the house this morning until 7:30. I was in Tulsa at 8:30 after making a quick stop. I then got in a company truck and ran to our shop (which I do daily) roughly 35 miles south of Tulsa. I then visited with guys at the shop, took care of a few things, visited a little more, and then came to the office. I got here at lunch time, at lunch, surfed the net, etc. Now im "Working." Ill be finished up at about 4:30 and headed home. At times its very demanding but on a daily basis i get paid to drive and visit for at least half of the day.
