MLB Trade targets..

I think Guut could bring them something Kev. He's still only 25, and I could see him doing very well in the NL. He's a natural CFer and Wedge doesn't let him (or anyone besides Grady) run. He has enough speed to be a 30+ stolen base guy, not to mention, the guy can play the field very well.

Has a little pop too, just needs to find that comfort level at the plate a lot of young hitters struggle with.

Guut would be good trading chip if you were a contender and wanted to trade for an established guy like CC or Ryan Howard.

But since the Indians will most likely be trading with a contender, the other team isn't going to want someone that "could" be good. They'll want a Grady or a CC or a Hafner or a V-Mart type player.

I'm not saying it will be a blockbuster, but there'd be interest in him at the deadline...sure there would. Teams looking for a CFer could find one for cheap, a lot like the Brandon Phillips situation.

Anyway, if someone actually wants Hafner, they can have him for nothing as long as that 15 million dollar salary comes off their books. I'm Shapiro, I'll take a new clubhouse whirlpool for him, straight up.:D Honestly, I think he's as good as done. Major shoulder issue there, and I think he was a juicer.
