I am trying to decided between the Primos Power Dogg and Western Rivers Day Stalker E-Call. Does anyone have any insight on these calls.

Thanks From The New Guy,

Gabe

Never heard a good review on the western r. Can't change sounds in power dog. I wouldn't buy either. You should consider a foxpro. you can switch out sounds as often as you like so your not stuck with snow goose sounds on your e-caller. The ZR3 is about the same price as the power dogg. I bought an FX3 last year and called in a ton of yotes.

I had a Wesrern Rivers and they are absolute junk, They replaced it twice and after the first month it never worked right. You can build your own for cheap money, which I did and used for two years and it worked well. This year I got the foxpro, but I always bring my old one just in case. Send me a PM if interested in making your own, I'll tell you what I did.

welcome to realtree!!I am not a fan of electronic calls, I have a few buddies who have foxpros and a few others and I call in 5 times more with my mouth calls, I find that the electronic calls work all right in the early season,[oct and november ] but once they hear the call once and get warry you are done, I can change mouth calls change the pitch according to how the coyote is acting and add yips and barks and howls to make them think there is a coyote there, either getting there food or working on there territorial or mating sences! I have a home made call with a cassette that I use in really windy days huntign by myself,I set it up so they have to come by me to get downwind, this is were a remote controal call would be great but for the money it would never pay becouse i might use it 2-3% of the time I am out!good luck with your decision, and welcome to realtree again!!!!

Welcome to Realtree:).

My son and I use exclusivley the FoxPro line of callers and have nothing but good things to say about them.

From yotes to crows the FoxPro does it all.

I have not heard too many, or any for that matter; good reviews on the Western River.

The FoxPro and Minaska callers are the best to me. With the Minaska having a bit better speakers than the FoxPro.

Good Luck.
