Ohiobucks
The PGA just called me, they asked if I would be interested in filling in in his absence.....I had to politely turn them down.....
buckbuster11
Him out for the season isn't the story here. He just won the US Open with a torn ACL and a stress fracture in his leg. Are you freaking kidding me? That might be the most incredible thing I have seen in sports. All those people who thought he was faking it a little bit for show better rethink how they feel about that.
jbeck
I just heard he's allowed to draw unemployment. He should get the top rate, so he should be just fine. LOL Boy can this kid ever play some golf huh.

I am glad you did it "politely"! LMBO!:D:D This guy is so incredible. Fracture in the bone and a torn ligament and he still kept playing and WON! Unbelievable!
TxBowHunter
No doubt, Tiger will go down in history as the best golfer.
TreeStandBowHunter
I have mixed thoughts about Woods. Yeah he is good. Is he the best? I don't know about that. I think every generation has "their best". He may be the best in "our time". I don't think he was faking his injury at all. He has nothing to fake. The guy is good and he has enough money just from endorsements to retire for the rest of his life if he wanted too probably. But I do think though that he, like many other athletes, are way over rated. The media can hype people up like that though. He is good but just because he is good doesn't mean that I have to root for him or like him. Often times when someone asks you who you want to win and you don't say Tiger Woods, they look at you all crazy. I think sometimes he just likes making a statement. What really makes me laugh is when I see guys out on the golf course sporting his line of attire and even dressing like him thinking that it will help them play better golf. And they still suck:D. Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
The guy is amazing. Smart for taking this time off, he has nothing to lose by doing it. If he were to retire today IMO, he should be considered the best ever. Yeah, Jack has more wins overall and more major victories, but think about it, Jack did that in 25 years of playing a full schedule. Tiger is 8 behind him in wins and 4 behind him in majors...and thats only in 12 years! And does Tiger ever even play a "full" schedule? here are some numbers from an article I found, it is from last October so some of the stats may be off a bit. What Tiger has done that Jack couldn't: • Win four consecutive major championships (2000 U.S. Open - 2001 Masters). • Win three majors in the same year (2000). • Win the U.S. Open by 15 strokes. (Nicklaus's largest margin of victory in golf's most grueling test was four shots.) • Win back-to-back British Opens (2005-2006) and PGA Championships (2006-2007). • Never cough up a 54-hole lead at a major. • Win eight tournaments in a season. (Woods has done it three times.) • Win at least five tournaments in five consecutive seasons. (Nicklaus topped out at three.) • Win seven consecutive starts. • Win tournaments in Dubai, Japan, Thailand and Germany. • Make 142 consecutive cuts. (Jack was spent after 105.) • Finish first on the money list four consecutive years. (From 1999-2002; this year will be three in a row.) • Win three consecutive U.S. Amateurs (on top of three consecutive U.S. Juniors). And I don't buy the "Jack had better competition" junk either. There are few golfers out there who would be putting up great numbers if it wasn't for Tiger, he is just that much better than everyone else. The thing is that the best like Jack are saying he's the best they've ever seen. This guy has some kind of focus. I must admit when i get dressed for the course, I try to look Woody Austin. LOL Love the Aqua Man.
