Going to NYC

Well, for whatever reason, I shot my piehole off to my wife and mentioned that since she had been through so much healthwise this year, I would take her to NYC if she wanted to go. So starting on a Friday of a weekend next month, we are driving to Albany, and then taking an AMTRAK train to NYC. Staying right in Times Square for three nights....here is the list of places we are going to visit...add to it if there is something I shouldn't miss.

Ground Zero

Empire State building

Statue of Liberty

Museum of Natural History

Fox News Network studios - (fair and balanced :D)

ok have at it..where else

I detect sarcasm...:D if the Mrs. aint happy...ain't nobody happy!

After all she has been through, a few days of my time is well worth it to me. :)

Seeing any Broadway shows? You can't NOT take her to Tiffany's and at least let her see the big diamond. Then there's Trump Plaza. Hard Rock Cafe. But my favorite part was Broadway. Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables. I wanna go see The Lion King, but fat chance I'll be making it back up there anytime soon.

Swampy...glad the Mrs is feeling better :).

Grand Central station is quite a sight when you get off the Amtrak. Bring the camera.

A few places to visit close to Ground Zero. Walking distance.

The Irish Hunger memorial, in Battery Park City. The Holocaust museum, in Battery Park City.

Fort Clinton in Battery Park. The Ferry is right there also for a trip to the Statue of Liberty. The Staten Island Ferry is there too...I think its free. Check. Its a cool boat ride across the harbor. The US Customs house, across from Battery Park at the end of Broadway...awesome architecture. Its where they did the movie Ghostbusters.

Wall street. Trinity Church on Broadway & Wall and if you go to Rockerfeller center in midtown, see St. Patrick's Cathederal...Incredible.

Enjoy yourselves in the best city on earth.

If I can be of ANY assistance Ken let me know. I'm in the concrete jungle 5 days a week and live about 40 mins north.

Sounds like fun, my brother lives in brooklyn and so I have been to time square many times. Its pretty cool. One place I would suggest you eat if you like burgers and ribs is "Dallas BBQ". I make sure to go there every time im out there. Its right in the time square area. Have fun and be safe.
