Terry Bradshaw Admits to using steroids

Oh well ... lets see how longs it been since hes played ... and we can do what about it now ... oh thats right .... nothing.

Why is it even an issue stupid media drives these things and it drives me nuts ...

When did it change that the media created the news instead of reporting it?

Steve

I guess you're missing the point. If Lance Armstrong dopes and wins the Tour de France his victories are null and void. If an Olympic sprinter wins a gold medal and later tests positive for steroids they take his or her medal away and the gold goes to the silver medal finisher...

Bradshaw was the most dominant QB of his era and won a string of Super Bowls....on the juice. They shouldn't count either. Heck, most people consider that Steelers team to be a dynasty and one of the top three teams of all time- I think that needs to be called into question just like the Patriots cheating called their near perfect season into question.

Not a big fan of the Stillers fo sho, and when I was a kid, I actually hated them (kind of like I hate the cowgirls now :D).

Seems to me the steroids Bradshaw was taking was cortisone to help healing, not stuff like HGH and the anabolic crap that these superhumans are shooting up with now. I have to believe a lot of guys Cleveland Browns guys included, did the cortisone shots too.

....Yes, I think you're right...it was probably something on the "grandiose" scale of cortisone, and not that potent juice they shoot today...

-I, personally , don't see the reason for the media to try to dig up crap just for sensationalization's sake...and- tee hee...you're probably right about some of the Cleveland Browns guys...:)

-Terry Bradshaw is like a legend to me; he was a friend of my parents....and they didn't associate with people who did drugs- (that they knew of-)

Yep with todays rules ... there was no doping rules when he was QB so he broke absolutely no rules ... like I said whats the big deal ... they dont get punished for taking the steroids they get punished for breaking the rules ... period ... so I guess you miss the point.

Also Armstrong never was found to have doped so not a very good example AT ALL.

You had a point? I guess there really is a first time for everything.

btw- you need to do some research on ya boy Lance Armstrong, not taking anything away from the guy, but he was using dopamine.;)

You do the research and show me where the proof is and not someone in France with a vendetta against him ... absolutely no proof whatsoever that he did he ... matter fact he denied it and they couldnt prove it ... so what proof do you have again ...

Other then your all knowing cocky mentality yoyu have towards anything opr anyone that doesnt agree with your thinking ... I mean heaven forbid anyone have a different opinion or go by facts around anything you have input on ... sheesh

I think Eric's point was IF someone like Armstrong or an Olympic athlete gets caught doping, they get stripped of any honors and titles they may have won. IF. Why not with Bradshaw? 4 Super Bowls that are tainted now. The * is beginning to be an over-used symbol in the record books these days.

What is this telling our kids, today's young athletes, tomorrows superstars? "Dope up, I did, and I'm a winner!" *

Armstrong may have beat cancer and won the TDF 7 times, but he is still a loser IMO. Leave your wife and 3 young kids for Sheryl Crow? Talk about rode hard and put away wet....Then he's with one of the Olsen twins? Ugghhh.......:confused:

Football season couldn't get here quick enough.....

Well like I said back when Bradshaw played he broke absolutely no rules ...

Armstrong never was proved to have doped

And yes it was played out perfectly by Oj's lawyers that the LA cops were racist ... thats still not OJ's fault.

what is Armstrongs fault is that he did leave his wife and kids for no reason and yes that makes him a piece of something in my opinion ... but last time I checked you didnt get your titles taken away for devorcing your wife or husband.

and Ohio he said Armstrong doped ... it wasn't an if ... read farther down.

I think Bradshaw has a book coming out or something he needs the publicity for thats the only reason he is even talking about ... hes no better then Conseco

Barry Bonds has never tested positive for anything either- but I'm also not a moron and I don't need to hear he had a positive test to confirm what I can tell is the truth.

What I think sets Bradshaw apart is that back then, I don't think roids were as widespread so he probably had a bigger advantage then back then compared to the edge Bonds had over his peers who were also juicing.

Good point though Tom- great examples for the kids isn't it?

That is why I said "IMO" I think he is a loser. A loser in life. We are of the same opinion there Steve. ;)

When you replied about Eric not having a good example AT ALL, he had not mentioned that Armstrong doped, he only stated IF Armstrong dopes he would be stripped of the title.....read farther up.

BTW, he doped, just didn't get caught. Again, JMO....

I'm not sure what to think on this one. The guy openly admitted he took doctor prescribed steroids in an era where it was not illegal by law or by the NFL. And I don't think he would be openly talking about that on a radio show if there was something wrong with it.

And let's face it, have you ever seen a picture of Bradshaw? If he was on roids what the heck are the guys in today's NFL on?

If this was a current Steeler I would feel a lot different. Like I said, it was not illegal by either the NFL or the law...and it was prescribed by a doctor in good faith from what we know. That's a big difference then/than what's going on today.

Obviously that doesn't matter ... it sounds better to make it a conspericy and to make it into something evil so we can do away with everything that could be good in the sporting world I mean if they dont play on a certain team or make a ton of money they must be evil and doing something wrong ...
