longbeardfever4ever
hey guys, just wonderin how many of you are going to hunt the fall season this year?! i went last year and didnt see a thing but was fueled by several things. Whenever i went deer hunting we saw a flock. Whenever i went squirrel hunting i saw a flock or heard a gobble! i cant wait for this year as i actually know what im doing!! I also bought a certain aluminum friction call that can make EXTREMELY COARSE clucks and yelps!
Ambuscher
Our turkey numbers are down enough that we will not have a fall gun season this year. I see more in the fall on my dad's land than I do during the spring season. I may have to break out the bow this year and try and take one. ccwhitey
Last year I wasn't able to hunt for them but the year before that I went with a buddy and hope that we can do it again cause it sure is fun:D:D
fly
I buy the 15 dollar bow tag just in case I see one while deer hunting. The fall bow deer and turkey seasons are about the same three month time period. I sometimes take a turkey call with me. Last fall I was able to get a nice gobbler about 50 yards from my tree stand. Just out of bow range. Maybe this year?
Eddie234
i'm not sure, here in WV fall season is base on spring numbers and it's county by county. I haven't seen any numbers yet. If we do I'll try and squeeze it in if I get a deer with my bow first.

Hoyt03
I will def hunt some, how much depends on if I got my buck yet or not. Our fall turkey season comes in beginning of Nov for a couple weeks, right when the bucks get to chasing those does.
backwoods07
I'll be up in the tree with my turkey tag. Three of those lil buggers dodged my arrows last year! I'm back with a vengeance....

bluedog
I am looking forward to our fall season this year. I've only been out a couple of times in past years with no turkeys, but one very close call. Very exciting! In past years, fall turkey was 14 day gun season and then archery only until the end of November. This year for the first time, we can use a gun the whole 7 week season. Yay!!!! I do admit thought, that while I will spring turkey hunt in any kind of nasty miserable snow, wind, rain whatever, I am a fair weather fall turkey hunter. I just love sittin' in the woods on a sunny fall day. Nothin' better! Even better is fall season is all day (instead of noon like in the spring). This means I can sneak out after work during the week sometimes.
birdhunter39
i'll try my luck this fall for turkey , but it will have to be with a bow
Matchthedeerslayer
i might try it out in wisconsin where i live because i have to take out some hens!!! And we've had tons of luck in the fall!!!!!!
PA_Spike_King
Yep I go every season. Now here in PA we can use a rifle so I take out my Sako in 222 and try to find the flock. We have lots of fun and it also gives me a good idea of what the bucks are doing in my area.
Strut10
My fall turkey season depends on my deer archery season. If I haven't connected on a buck, then I'll be up a tree with my bow. My brother hunts a lot in the fall. Often he'll get a flock busted up. He calls me and tells me where he broke the flock.........I go there in between morning and afternoon bowhunts and smoke a bird. Nice little arrangement.
elnor
I'm hoping to get out to western OK for a fall Rio hunt, deer and elk hunting permitting. It's a good problem to have.
Born4it
Well good luck with your idea! It sounds like you're confident and ready to get out there! I will pay the extra $5 for the archery turkey permit just because it's only 5 bucks, but I won't actually go out in search of a turkey. Fall's for rutting, spring's for strutting :-) That's my hunting schedule, but more power to you with your fall turkey hunt! Take care, Ryan
wtnhunt
Shame we do not have a fall season, wish we did have. See a lot of turkeys here during the fall, have had some nice longbeards in bow range.
