struttinhoyt Posted June 25, 2008 Report Share Posted June 25, 2008 This last weekend I got up and around and figured id shoot the 5 spot tourny they had... Even tho I hadn't picked up my bow since april... stepped up and shot 5 practice shots... signed up in the hunter and open class... out of about 40 people in each I took home 3rd place in the Hunter class with a 294 out of a possible 300... One guy shot a 297 and the first place was a perfect 300..... in the open class I shot a 295 out of 300.... top 2 shooters shot a 300 and another guy with a 299 all with scopes.... I ended up with 4th place but not good enough to medal in it.... After that was over I was signed up in the turkey calling and gobbling competition.... by my buddies, that just insisted I participate.... I ended up taking home 1st place in the adult turkey calling comp with no call at all... just my mouth.... it really got to several induviduals whom were using calls..... took home a medal and custom made slate call with 2 hand made strikers..... Ricky shot a pretty decent round when he shot his hunter class it was a 290 somethin.... Been so busy with school I haven't had much time to spend on here... I been tryin to do some preseason prep here lately.... cleaned up a food plot or 2 and stuck a camera out... got a few pics of a decent buck.... How you guys been?...
