buckshot_09
anyone ever try planting soybeans? if so, what soil conditions do you recommend and how much success did you have in terms of overall growth and production? any advice appreciated. dogdoc
I planted right around an acre of soybeans--a Round-Up ready variety from Eagle Seeds. This forage variety has grown extremely fast and is keeping up with deer forage usage. I've planted some soys in the past but none have provided the amount of forage as these. The orange stick is 36" tall and the soybeans are taller than the stick in several areas: in this pic you can see the usage by the deer: todd
Tominator
Yup, easy to grow and the deer like them a lot. They have the advantage of fixing the soil somewhat with the production of nitrogen nodules.
