Bitz Users! Question!

Got me a right helical clamp today. Stripped three arrows down. The two adjustment knobs on top and bottom of the jig.

Where do you have them?

Reason I ask, I just can not seem to get the base of the vanes to seat completely to the shaft. I left the adjustment knobs where there are set for my straight clamp. Every time I glue one down, the left side of the vane does not sit flat on top of the shaft. Thanks for any responses! ;)

Thanks Joe!!! Thought I would post this in here for anybody else having this kind of trouble.

I put a 4" vane in the clamp without glue. I moved the jig until I got the base sitting flat against the shaft.

I then glued three shafts with the Blazers. The only thing I noticed is the Blazers now have a very slight keel. I then test glued a arrow with 4" vanes. Wow! What a difference! The vane really wrapped around the shaft! The bad thing is this. I have the TM nock receiver, and now the arrow does not align the cock vane with the nock like it did before. Minor move so its no big deal. Now, all I need to is let them sit for about an hour or so, the glue says 30 minutes, and test them out!

Being that the Blazers are so short, I don't think Ill be able to get much more helical on them. Unless somebody else has any tips! They honestly don't look any more different than the ones done with the straight clamp, with the exception of a very slight keel. Not sure if this will make any difference, will see!
