Camo Arrows

I know cause I dip them in acetone before I refletch, camo never came off.

I used to use Acetone as well to strip fletching and glue until I was told by someone that knows archery tackle way better than I do that Acetone is a harsh chemical and will cause the carbon fibers to weaken and break down. He advised me to switch to Denatured Alcohol. It pretty much accomplishes the same means...have you or anyone else heard something like this as well?

Now about camo vs. black...you should try this ballistics calculator http://home.att.net/~sajackson/ballistics.html for arrow flight and see the drop in elevation between a black shaft's weight and a camo shaft's weight...I'd be interested to see if there was a significant change when using a slightly heavier camo arrow rather than a black shaft...if I get time I'll do the math and post it here...

Alright, here is how I see it. Your target is 20 yards away. Your bow shoots 300 fps (295fps with camo arrows).

From time you release your arrow until time it acquires its target is .200 seconds with a black arrow vs. .203 seconds with a camo arrow.

Like someone said already... Like a nickle in the ocean.

U know it seams a little high but i can belive it, i switched arrows and went up like 15 grains in weight and lost like 3 or 4 feet per second. But it's either the weight or the slight increas in diameter or the combo of the two, but i could see it affecting the arrow speed....I just have always bought black because there cheaper and i like the look better...less gimmickey i feel
