Rhino
In case you haven't heard the battle is over and Anheuser-Bush has agreed to be sold to the Belgian company InBev. InBev is known for being a cost cutter so we might as well prepare to see them cut back on a lot of the great advertising adds Anheuser-Bush has had in Super Bowls, etc. over the years. It could spell bad news for a lot of organizations that Anheuser-Bush supported in the St. Louis metropolitan area too. Here's the article. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/07/15/business/worldbusiness/15beer.html?ref=business
toddyboman
Very sad I am very curious how the current AB stuff in St. Louis is going to do now. The support and do A LOT more than just beer....
hammerforged
Yea, I heard about this last Friday from the guy who owns the Dallas/Ft. Worth distributership. Makes me sick, Abu Dahbi now owns the Chrysler Building or most of it any way. It's beginning to look like there is nothing owned by Americans anymore. We just had a bunch of Japanese businessmen try to buy one of the hunting clubs I belong to. No dice for them so far but who knows?

ruttinbuc
I could not agree with you more, Steve....The thing that gets me is that we insist on beating EACH OTHER over the head. These foreigners are only taking what is being offered. We are letting it happen...One piece at a time. We are our own worst enemy....
