Well I've kind of been missing in action for awhile because this hobby of mine has turned into a lot of work.:) Here are a few calls leaving the "shop" this week...actually it's a side room in my garage. :)

I think I'm finally caught up. Enjoy!

The call that I have in my turkey vest is a black walnut & maple call. It is similiar to the one in the next to last picture. Personally I like that combo the best...it has been the demise of many gobblers.

My mahogany & black walnut calls probably have more rasp than any of my other calls. It's a fine line when it comes to tuning...you can't put the wood back on after it's been shaved off. :)

Awesome!! Its been awhile seen i've layed my eyes on that fine work of yours. . . . . I like that maple too but man that cedar just grabs my attention every time, isnt that cedar on 2nd row of the 2nd group pic? Beautiful call!! I think it's just the darker colors.

Yeah, the first call on the left side of the 2nd group pic is cedar and poplar.

I haven't heard from you in awhile. How are things going? Are you still going to Colorado elk hunting this fall?

I'm trying to put together a New Zealand turkey hunt next year. Think about it and let me know if you would like to go. New Zealand's spring time is actually September - November.

I'm thinking that I'll actually be able to go back to South Florida this spring...after missing the last two.

Give me a buzz sometimes and we can discuss the details.

Nice workmanship.

Seems that a lot of folks are into making calls these days.

One of the bigger issues is not hearing them first hand. While not knocking your calls, a lot of calls look great, but when it comes to the sound, they don't make the cut. If your calls sound as good as they look, you sure have a winner on your hands. WTG!!!

I know what you mean. I've only been making calls for about 6-7 years now and believe me...there have been many that made it to the burn box instead of the woods.:D
