That is GREAT news Ken.

I'm sure the doctor's orders will have Steve getting adjusted to a change of lifestyle soon. Steve may need a pair of walking shoes if he doesn't already have some.

My best friend went through the same thing last November. He was back in a deer stand 2 weeks after they put 2 stents in him. He's still trying to get adjusted to the change of lifestyle as per the doctors orders though.

Hey...what happened?

Man, that was weird.

I guess it all started on Tues, 15th, when we started working on this New Vet Clinic. It's gong to have dropped tile ceilings and tile base-boards, so there isn't really much cutting in to do. We had to get ahead of the floor-tile guys, who had already had a days head-start on us.

So my buddy Steve's Son and I got the rollers out, and just went roll crazy all morning. Went through 15 gallons of primer in 6 hours.

My arms, Chest, upper back, and basically my whole upper torso ached all dang day, but I just figured it was partly due to the hard work, and a lot of bow practice.

Had no idea I had experienced a heart attack.

Wed 16th, started out the same, with us rolling the second coat on. I was getting the same strains, and pains as the day before, but again just chalked it up to being a little out of shape and hard work. The Tile guys got in our way, so I spent the afternoon on a more cushionie job, painting door frames on another job site.

The pains kind of subsided a bit that afternoon, so I didn't think nothing of it, but again, I was apparently experiencing a heart attack.

Well, Thursday started out great because I was back on painting some door frames, and a few other odds and sods, on the other job. I felt great all morning, until just before lunch, after painting a small gable up off the main roof. I started cleaning up for lunch, and got a pain in my left shoulder, mid chest, mid-back, and in my throat of all places.

The pain in my chest was a crushing pain, and the glands in my throat and jaw area, were reacting to that pain as well.

I still didn't thing much of it, and drove home for lunch. I managed to choke down a half a sandwich and wasn't really feeling too hungry.

I got to talking with Kathleen in here, and the pain felt like maybe it was going away. Then it started coming back again, so I just mentioned to Kathleen how poorly I was feeling all of a sudden

Well being the caring, loving person she is, she told me I should go to the hospital. All I could think of is getting back to work.

But ...she got pretty convincing when she said all of the pain I was experiencing, was Angina and the sign of a heart attack.

So, just to be safe, I figured OK, I'll drive to the hospital real quick, get checked out, and be back to work, a bit late, but my mind would be at ease, and hers too ...LOL

The rest is history

I spent the rest of Thursday in ICU at the hospital having my third heart attack

Then I spent the rest of Thursday, Friday, Sat, Sunday, in ICU, and then transferred by ambulance to Victoria (Royal Jubilee Hospital) Monday morning at 7:00am. Got a "stent" put in by around 2:30pm, and had to stay overnight hooked up to machines and heavy duty blood thinners.

Thank God they let me go home this morning, and thank God my daughter Jessica came all the way from Calgary, Alberta, to take care of Diana and the driving.

I just got home a while ago, so I'm pretty tired.

Thank you for all the prayers, and thank you Kathleen for very possibly saving my life. I am stubborn, aren't I :);)

Thank you Lord,

Thank you all,

Steve

PS - Thank you Ken, for keeping everyone informed, and especially looking after Polly ;)
