Rem308
Alright, I have been looking for a big bore revolver for a while now...I've finally made my decision on the .44 magnum as I do plan on carrying it and doing a little deer hunting with it from time to time. For now I will be hitting the range and practicing until I'm comfortable with it and my accuracy. That being said, I'd like some information or advice...basically anything to psyche me up on the revolver. Thanks for the info. I'm pretty much sold on the Super Blackhawk w/ the 7 1/2" barrel. Thanks folks, Rem308
WaCoyote
I've never heard anything bad about Ruger Redhawks, or BlackHawks. The Blackhawk will be my next hunting gun purchase. I currently have an old RedHawk and want a BlackHawk for hunting. Max loads arent an issue and accuracy will be fine for hunting. IMO you cant go wrong. huntinguide
big bores rock, try different ammo, or reload. I reload and found the best load for my 460 is a hand load. Second would be Hornady 200gr. Not real familiar with 44's
hangunnr
First thing I'd do with that Ruger is find a set of hand filling rubber grips for it. It'll help make range sessions much more enjoyable. hangunnr
