BearClaw
Awhile back someone recommended using a trace mineral block from Tractor Supply instead of those expensive little flavored deer blocks. I bought one and the deer have been just hammering it. I have a trail camera up and if you look up the thread New Trail Camera Pics under Photography you'll see the bucks that are coming in. I had almost 500 pics in 3 weeks because they come in and just hang around and keep licking. (I do need to set my camera at 5 minute interval instead of one!) Just wanted to say that they work!! dogdoc
awesome---my trace mineral block is well dissolved into the soil and the deer are digging a hole eating the soil with the minerals in it. glad it worked!
toddyboman
cool! Might have to try one myself someday
wtnhunt
Yep, they work well. Needing to replenish our mineral site here now, will proably drop a block in it this afternoon.
Zambo
Don't change what is working on your property. If the deer are hitting it hard you have done a great job. I use a bagged mineral that is a powder and the deer are pounding it hard daily. I even have Cuddeback video of a fox rolling in it and the deer come back in later and still love it.
