Strut10
I'd crawl in dirt for an '08 Browning Grand Illusion. But that extra $700 I ain't got laying around will have me shooting my Eclipse SLX again this year. Ain't like that's slumming it or anything............ ThethirdI
I haven't bought a new bow in years. I don't even know what the new bows are on the market. I used to keep up with it, but over the years I realized it wasn't making any difference because I wasn't buying any of them anyway. I have a Golden Eagle Z-Lite. Nobody even knows what it is when I go to a 3D shoot. They only pay attention after I shoot 11's with it and I don't use sights or a stabilizer or anything else for that matter except for my release. m gardner
I usually get the old hot bow that has the bugs worked out of it and is probably on sale this year. I'm shooting two 2007 PSE MossyOak NX's right now. Mark
MUDRUNNER
I would love to get a new Diamond Black Ice.Funds are a little tight this year so I'm shooting my '04 Bowtech Liberty for one more year.
Born4it
If I bought another one, I'd definitely get the Hoyt Katera! The other two that have gotten the most hype in my opinion would be the Mathews DXT and the PSE X Force. All very good bows. Bowtech has a new one that David Blanton is using that's supposed to be pretty darn good, but I can't remember the name of it! Take care, Ryan
Guest matt_tibbit
I'm a Bowtech guy myself. I shoot a 2007 Patriot 2. When I first set it up, I was pulling 70 pounds, shooting carbon express terminator xp's (10.6 grains per inch) and 125 grain tips/broadheads. Despite the heavier shaft I was still flinging sticks at 278 feet per second. Speed is one thing...but when you are shooting a decently weighted broadhead and a hefty shaft that fast...you are shooting some serious kenetic energy. This setup put my 2 bladed Rocky Mountain Ironheads straight through two lungs, one rib (seriously, it entered the rib parallel with it and zipped right through leaving bone all around the cut) and then buried my arrow 8 inches in the dirt. Apart from all this, it has beyond parallel limbs at full draw and is just a wicked looking killing machine...when it's operator doesn't screw things up. HUNTINGMAN
I will be keeping my switchback xt this year.I would stick with mathews no matter what but I dont like the slim limbs and the xt is the most comfortable bow I have ever shot.If not a mathews it would be a bow tech general. Ethan Givan
My Martin Saber that I bought 3 years ago is still working for me. It shoots accurate, reasonably fast, and it feels great to shoot. I shot the new Mathews Drenalin and I prefer my Martin.
tedicast
My hunting bow for this year will be my new Mathews Drenalin LD. I bought one in a target color for 3D this year, and liked it so much, I bought another to hunt with. My back-up will still be my trusty Mathews Outback. Straight Shooter
My new hot bows are the 07 Cardiac's, I bought three of them this year (1@50-60# and 2@60-70#) and man do they shoot like a dream. I can't wait to get them into the woods.
