Guest MDBOWMAN
Here in Maryland the state issues crop damage permits for harvesting does out of season. What do you think if 20 does are taken off of the property (approx. 500 acres) now (late July) with a shotgun; the impact it will have on hunting the bucks in the same area late September? Thanks
Tominator
Probably not much. Ohiobucks could tell you better, but the land where we hunt has crop damage permits and a lot of them are filled and some nice bucks on that land have been killed in the past few years. toddyboman
I would be more concerned about the fawns surviving.....I'm sure the farmer does not care but that could impact the future....

Guest MDBOWMAN
Thanks. I've had a camera up for few weeks and there have only been a few fawns in the pics (3-4). I'm not sure why such a small crop of young deer this year. Thanks I will let the board know how things go in September.
dogdoc
probably make hunting the bucks easier--less does mean the bucks have to travel more to find the does!
