Chadwick Posted July 22, 2008 Report Share Posted July 22, 2008 Don't get to post much but I do enjoy reading posts from you guys. I just wanted to post and say that I'm going to be a dad. We've known for almost 8 weeks and are supposed to go tomorrow to hear the heartbeat. Hopefully everything has gone good in these early weeks, because I know thats the most critical stage. I really want a son, but as long as my kid is healthy, it really doesn't matter. I know I'll be a good dad like mine was for me. I'm so excited just to hear the heartbeat...I can't imagine what I'll fell like when he/she is brought into this world. My wife says I'll probably pass out! She's probably right. My second son, I was an old pro (at least I like to think so), just as happy though. Just so you know, my 5 year old son has a 5 year old "girlfriend" who hunts with her daddy, and helps when it is time to butcher deer and wrap it for the family. I'm just sayin'.... Oh yeah, CONGRATULATIONS! Your life is gonna change like you wouldn't believe. Prepare all you like, but I don't think anyone can prepare for that moment when they first come in the world and you hold them for the first time. Talk about a helpless feeling. Mach1 Posted July 24, 2008 Report Share Posted July 24, 2008 I was blessed with a hunting buddy in April. At 3 months old, he likes watching baseball (StL Cardinals of course ) and hunting shows.
