Sambar Hunter
What is the best type of saw for removing of either horns or antlers, a hack saw like the Wyoming Saws or a saw like the bushmaster?, each have there pros and cons, wouldnt the Wyoming Saw be better because of its strength and less likely to bend whiel removing antlers compared to the Bushmaster saw which is only a single blade, but the bushmaster is small and lighter to carry? what are peoples thoughts on saws? Squirrelhunter91
I hear Apple saws are pretty good.
Sambar Hunter
Or would a hand saw from the local hardware store do the job?
Hoosierbuck
Go with the Wyoming. The extra strength and rigidity are worth any extra weight in my book. HB
Dubie
I've always used a simple hardware store cheepey hacksaw in the field. I lean twoards my recipricating saw with a hacksaw blade for cutting bone in the shed...
Mirage
I would think a hack saw would work just fine;)
fly
I used a hacksaw for years. I finally purchased a Wyoming saw and use the bone blade. It is much easier and takes about 1minute compared to 5 minutes with a hacksaw. I'd suggest the Wyoming saw.
