waxing your bow

hey everyone, i just bought my first bow ever and have been shooting it for a few days. Approximently after how many shots or days should I be waxing it? Also do I wax just the main back cable(furthest from stabilizer) or do I wax each individual cable? Any tips help. Thanks Happy Hunting

i wax both cables string i wax string after everytime shoot just my preference

I wax mine after every couple of times that I shoot. And I wax every part where you can see the actual string not the serving. I rub it on with the stick and I work it in with my fingers.

I don't wax as often as the first two responses. Usually about 3 or 4 times a year. I put the wax on with the stick and work it in with a piece of leather.

I wax about once a month. If the string doesn't have the waxy feeling then Ill do it ASAP. I read in a bow hunting mag that it is possible to over-wax.
