I already have a list and idea...but I am curious to what other see. I could have over looked something:eek: Thanks.
Dubie
I see four clearings along the lake. They seem like likely spots to scout for deer moving to get water. Also, there are several spots where the fields are surrounded on at least three sides, some completely encircled by trees. They seem like good places to scout for deer moving close to cover for a feeding. I'd try to stay along the larger section of trees that covers from north west to south east, between the fields and the lakes. I'll bet they stay bedded down in there. Scout, see where the trails are, and what paths the deer take from thier bedding spots to the fields. The woods there also look like a likely place to put the stalk on a good buck while he's bedding. fly
I like the South East corner (right on the red line). I'd look for deer traveling around the southern part of the lake from one wooded area to the next.
buckbuster11
Hard to tell where the thick cover and bedding areas are which would be a big help. There are a couple places that jump out. First thing I noticed is how many points there are sticking out into the fields. I especially like the one in the northwest corner in between those 2 fields. I bet that would be a nice evening spot. Also, if I were to guess where the bedding is I would say in the very upper northwest corner or southeast corner. Just to the right of the plus sign cursor in the middle of a map is a narrow stretch of woods that would act as a funnel between the field and river and would connect those two larger areas of woods. Betcha that would make a nice spot.
Tominator
Very top and bottom of the property looks like there's a couple good funnels there. That lake kind of limits you I would think, kind of hard to tell not knowing where the bedding areas are.
craig mack
Looks like you have alot of funnels to pick from. Towards the bottom of the lake there is a point to the left, I would put a stand in the middle of that funnel, between the lake and the field. The wind direction is key too. Born4it
I'd check everything obviously, but the southeast and northwest look very promising due to the bottlenecks leading from water to bed to feed, along with the clearings, making it easier to scout. If you have permission, I'd definitely scout the other side of the lake as well. Looks like a great spot! Good luck :-) Ryan
