MCH
Or does anyone actually give a crap who won "Titletown USA"??? I'm just glad its over. According to ESPN, Valdosta, Georgia is officially "Titletown". During the awards ceremony they asked "What does this mean for Valdosta?"??? Good question. My best guess?? It means they get this weird looking trophy to display at their town hall and then they'll have to explain what it is to every tourist and every resident that walks by.:D

MCH
Where in the heck is Valdosta? I must have missed those great Valdosta teams. From what I heard on ESPN, Valdosta was chosen for its high school sports.
Tominator
It means they get this weird looking trophy to display at their town hall and then they'll have to explain what it is to every tourist and every resident that walks by.:D People tour Valdosta? What's a Valdosta? Yeah, the whole title town thing was lame. Glad it's over. They should have spent that air time with more "my wish" features.
craig mack
From what I heard on ESPN, Valdosta was chosen for its high school sports. It sounds like a golf course. I thought it was pretty stupid also. ESPN just keeps getting worse.
Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
What's a Valdosta? I think a friend drove one in high school
muggs
It's not like this is a slow time for sports either. I get that they have to keep themselves busy and come up with filler ideas, but the MLB trading deadling is in a few days, the division races are heating up, and the NFL is starting up again...heck, Lord knows they can do something on Brett Favre. Very, very, very lame.

ruttinbuc
Never ceases to amaze me as to what shows up on TV. It was a rather lame attempt to show American town pride in their sports teams. No doubt the idea came from looking to make a profit from those markets in the running for the stupid trophy.....
toddyboman
Saw it one time and thought it was dumb so I never paid anymore attention to it.

VABuckSlayer
I thought Richmond, VA was titletown... oh... wait a minute... we don't even have a pro team. My bad!! :D:D Dang it!! That would be sooo cool too!!
Born4it
Agreed...very soft news. If I were any of the pros that were on it talking about their "towns" and why they should win, I'd be a little put off by them picking a high school community. Oh well...good for that town. BTW, I love the "My buddy drove one in high school comment!" Awesome! Take care, Ryan
Born4it
Hey..not so fast I guess. I was watching the new Monster Bucks for the second time last night and heard Bill say "This is Jeramie Wallace from Valdosta, Georgia..." Thought that was pretty weird since I just read all these posts and made my own yesterday..haha! Take care, Ryan
