bowin_in_illinois
Got up this morning, and had a couple nice bucks in the backyard again, I grabbed my camera, slowly slid the sliding door open a few inches, and popped off a few pictures. Both are great looking bucks...the first one looks like he's older than the second one to me, but I am definitely no expert at judging age on the hoof. Any of you able to help me figure that out? Here is the first one... Here is the second one...
hammerforged
I would have a hard time not taking both of those. Great pics.
ThethirdI
They look like shooters to me. But of course I am a public land hunter. I take what I can get. Those are better than what I have been able to get. LOL
wtnhunt
Couple of really nice bucks there. Shooters for sure. Would guess the first buck is older, would guesstimate him as a 4.5 year old, think the second buck from your pics is a little tougher to call and even though he has nicer antlers is likely only a 3.5 year old deer. Tominator
Pretty much agree with William, but I'd say both are 3 based on their brisket, belly, neck, nose and antlers.
toddyboman
Great looking bucks I agree the first buck looks to be older than the second. Good luck
Born4it
That second one is trying to be a typical 12! I'd have my sights on that one, but the first one has a little darker face...it might be older like everyone has said. Just an observation. Good luck, and great pictures! Dakota
I'd have to say that they are no more than 4 1/2 years old, but I would like to see them when they reach 6 1/2! Dakota
starbux
Give 'em one more year.....imo. The velvet is adding inches that'll be gone in a few weeks.

Ethan Givan
The first one I think is older. His stomach sags down more than the other like an older buck. Who cares though. Both are great bucks
Guest flockstopper
Wow, you have some great genetics there!! I've aged quite a few deer for the US Fish and Wildlife Service and I would have to say the first buck is 3 1/2 and the second is only 2 1/2!!! 2 more years and you will have some absolute monsters...That second deer may have potential for 200 inches if you let him get old enough.
