15 - 20 acres should be fairly easy to figure out once the season rolls around. A trail camera will do wonders on a small property and look for the heavily used trail. Theres only so many places they can go on that small of acreage. Goodluck and congrats on the new property.

Without actually looking at the property in person, I would say the spot legz has picked on the right would be closest to where I would likely hang one stand. Might push closer to the river/creek depending on actual the sign there at the property.

Would probably try to find a crossing near the top of your pic on the left side to give yourself another option for those days where the wind might not be in your favor to hunt the other site too.

Exactly what I was thinking......For some reason that corner right between the two fields looks tempting. I think probably because if you start out there you might be able to see where the deer are moving and adjust. Watch the corn field and hunt the beans.

I like the spot just south (maybe 50 yards) of the eastern most star legz posted. Looks like the creek pinches in close to the corn field. You'd get deer traveling north/south. I'd think they'd be bedded south (neighbors property) and head north to the corn. If my guess is correct I'd avoid that spot in case of a north wind.

Go south of the "e" in bean and put a stand just inside the woods line

I think if you go where flint is talking about and deer are bedded in that grass on the west I will be willing to bet that they cross the creek and travel on the southern part of the bean field. so my guess is that they are traveling west to east on the southern end of the field....

Definately check for creek crossings. I like the stands already picked out, but it might be tough to get the wind right when you get later in the season. And I would only hunt them in the afternoons. A great morning option, especially later in the season when the corn is out is the little stands of short trees off the the left surrounded by grass. There is a nice little opening in the upper right corner. Hunt the inside edge of that opening in the morning when the bucks are leaving the fields. By moving your stand around in that little area you can take advantage of nearly all wind directions. Except a northeast wind, (but how often does that happen).

Scratch what I just posted, I was talking about the neighbors property. I really should read the entire posts before I reply :o. But still check out the south end of your huntable property, I would bet there is a connecting trail between the corn and the stand of trees on the neighbors land. Maybe the neighbor will let you walk in from the south end.

Don't mean to be a copy-cat, but I gotta agree , the most eastern white star and then the most western white star could both be good pinch-points along the stream when deer are using the trees as cover between fields. I'd expect them to be filtering through those woods especially in the evenings early season.

I would walk the whole soy bean edge and find where they come in then follow the trails in enough to find the pinch points or best stand locations. Watch the track size - the heavy trails may be all does, that's the best if you are after any deeer. But faint side trails with big tracks may be bucks. The red stars would be good because this is probably a night stand scenario only and shade should show up there first. In my experience the deer always pop out in the soy beans in some shadow near the season start. BUT actual trails trumps that. They might bed in the corn then feed in the soy beans instead of bedding in the grass.

there's no completely obvious spots, but I can think of some. Find a low spot or crossing somewhere along the creek where the tall grass is close to the bean field. Deer will bed in the tall grass and go to the beans to start packing on the pounds. Older bucks during early bow season will travel the shortest distance they can to get to a good food source. A second spot I'd pick would be where the creek gets closest to the corn field. The creek even if shallow will funnel their travel from the larger section of woods to the beans or along the edge of the corn.

Hope that helps. I didn't look to see if someone said the same thing.

Good luck,

Dan
