the one
Here in Ga you can kill two buck on private property. But if you buy a WMA tag and hunt on WMA land. With that fee you can kill one more buck for an grand total of 3 bucks for the seasons. Maybe that what they have in his state. Officer Lockaway U. Forever let us know how it turns out. Born4it
Hmm... The benefit of the doubt may expire soon. I'm hoping Rodger will get back to us pretty quickly here. I'd love to hear that there's a really good reason for this...

Guest bebout
I agree got to keep it legal. Maybe it is someone else's deer and he just took a pic with it.
crazylegz70
I am not jumping to conclusions....but it has been a while and only a few posts......It is sad that deer of this caliber MIGHT have been poached....(I am giving him the benefit in saying that they werent) but did you ever notice that when someone is a suspect they always seem to flee the area? Rem308
Swamphunter just loves him a good bannin'! Just kidding you buddy. I would just like to hear from the original poster, he's got a lot of people wondering. For one thing, I'd like to hear the details on the hunt and how each were taken. You know, the good stuff. fly
In most of the stories I hear of poachers getting caught it is often because of showing the deer off (including posting pictures on the net). Not a bright idea. I guess it's something the male black widow spider goes through. He knows there's a good chance he's going to get ate by the female after mating, but he can't resist the urge. Dakota
Welcome to the campfire of the forum deer camp! Those are two awesome deer, congrats! Dakota
Zambo
Maybe they were party hunting. In Minnesota it is the only way to shoot a second buck. I don't know the laws of his state regarding party hunting or how the game laws read. However, his lack of explanation causes suspision. Mach1
They way I read our laws here in IL is that you cannot shoot a deer and use someone else's tag on it.
Zambo
Thanks for clearing that theory up Mach1.

JKAPP01
thats icky......it makes me sick to my stomach that ANYONE would do that.......3 years ago when i lived in WI, i caught a guy keeping a pregnant walleye that was in the slot, and there were all these little kids around saying you cant keep that it's in the slot, and his response was who cares it's my biggest walleye EVER! so i played devils advocate.....took a pic of him with the fish, and of his license plate.....called DNR. and what did they do? NOTHING! he was obviously getting it mounted and they wouldn't do a thing about it. just fires me up.....i can't stand poachers and un ethical outdoorsman/women. not how i was raised....giving everyone a BAD name.
