crazylegz70
So I went to the doc today and finally got to see the Xrays of my foot. I apparently broke the 5th metatarsal in my foot. (its the long bone attached to your pinky toe) If you guys/gals care to look it up, its also known as a Jones Fracture. It actually broke in 5 spots at the joint and the jones fracture is broke lengthwise on the long bone. Now for the good news.... He didnt have to set it or anything YET, but he said that he is going to check it again in 1 week and see how the healing is going and if it doesnt start to heal then it is surgery time. 4-6 weeks with walking boot if no surgery and 8-10 weeks if it needs screwed together..... Shaun_300
Oh man that sucks! My mom broke her 4th medatarsel in her right foot last year and was in a walking cast for 10 weeks I think. Good luck man! Hope it heals for you well and you don't need surgery.
