Guest Mark_85
I've got a friend trying to tell me whenever you sight in a bow you move towards the problem. for instance say your shooting to the left you move your pins to the left. I've always been told its opposite when you shoot to the left you move the pin to the right. and you shoot to the right you move the pin left and up is down and down is up correct ? just everything opposite of what you think it'd be ? Born4it
When you're shooting a bow it's different than a gun. Your friend is right. With a gun, you're moving the rear sight, and with a bow, you're moving the front sight. If you hold your bow in front of you and think about which way you would aim if the sight moved different ways, it'll become more clear. Good luck! Dakota
I don't think these guys covered the issue of following the arrow. :D I take it that if you are using pins you are more than likely shooting a compound, correct? I like traditional gear because you don't have much to worry about; just gap shoot or gun barrel it. Dakota
shockwave
If your hitting left you move left , if your hitting low you move your pin low, your friend is correct..
elkoholic
If down is up and up is down and say you are hitting down (from point of aim) then move the pin down to go up and if you are hitting up from the point of aim then you move your pin up to go down. So, yes the point of impact is opposite to the direction of pin travel and yes the pin needs to be moved in the direction you are off from the aiming point. But, if you want to move point of impact up be sure you are not thinking that you need to move the pin in the desired direction of movement. Do not over think it, and keep in mind that a metal detector will help find all those lost arrows:D
