Chrud
What would you guys think of a Mathews Q2XL for 3D/Target archery? It's 38" axle-to-axle, has a 7 1/2" brace height and shoots 308 FPS IBO. I've drawn one a couple times and my goodness, the wall is AWESOME! To be honest, the wall on the Q2XL is a lot harder than the one on my XTEC. With the right setup, I think it would be a pretty good 3D/Target bow. Tony
Re: Mathews Q2XL Matt i think that would be a good setup for indoor /3D . 38 inches is ok for ATA and the brace height would be ok also.. but you know its not the bow its the shooter behind the bow ... why is your wall ont he Xtec not as hard.. did you remove that little rubber bumper on the bottom cam ? thats makes huge differance in how the wall feels...you might try it.... all my Hoyts have it removed and they feel just great.... RyanH
Re: Mathews Q2XL Chrud, Have you shoot this bow? Or just pulled it back? Back when I was looking at my Cybertec in 2002! It was a toss up between the q2xl and the Cybertec! I choose the cyber tec cause It felt smoother and just fit me better! Just curious if you like how it shoots! As far as a target bow? Im the wrong person for that! Im still learning! LOL
Chrud
Re: Mathews Q2XL Have thought about removing the bumper, but haven't done it yet. Might try just to see what it's like. I've just drawn it a few times, since it is a donation for my brother's benefit. Thanks Mathews! It's going with a bow holder made out of Aspen and Antlers too. I told my parents "I'll give you $750 now and I'll just keep it" but no fly on that! I'm going to bid on it pretty good. By the way, to help with a new purchase this spring, and with bidding on stuff for my brother, there is one for sale in the Classifieds.
