Blazer vanes and mechanical broadheads

I was at a proshop a while back and I had got new arrows with blazer vanes on them and they said i couldn't shoot fixed broadheads with the blazer vanes because they would tail in the wind. Is that true or is he full of it? Because i love my muzzy's.

Your proshop guy is full of it. I used Crimson Talon Hyperspeed XT's last year and had absolutely no problems with them not grouping with my fieldpoints. Same POI up to 50 yards. Maybe more, but that's all I sighted to in my yard.

Blazers were MADE for fix bladed broad heads!!! It even says this on Bohning's web site! I shoot Muzzy's with them, they fly great for me! I would find a new Pro Shop!

i ran into one problem..........i had blazers and arrow wraps put on.....im color blind so i had white wraps put on.........and on 7 out of the 12 arrows one of the vanes had fallen off, i missed a 150" buck last fall at 20 yards, because the vane flew off. im guessing its the glue the local shop used.......to say the least i was not happy.....but i had them put on my practice arrows as well and they fly great. i shoot fixed and have zero problems, minus the bonding issue but thats not a blazer problem.

I don't remember where I saw it posted, but if memory serves me correct someone said that one should not shoot blazer vanes and a mechanical broadhead. I am not sure if that is correct either.

I shoot field tips, fixed blade, and for a short time I shot some Rage three blades. They all flew great! I see no problem using them for any kind of head. I am sure others here feel the same. Blazers are probably the perfect vane!
