bighoytman
I have been looking at a couple different broad heads to shoot this year.It is between slick trick 100's, rage 2 blade 100's and the gators 100's.I have shot the slick tricks shot great,I seen some nice holes for a fixed blade head also.I have never shot a deer with one.The gators by rocky mountain I heard company was bought out so down the road blades or replacement heads may be an issue.I can get the gators for 10 bucks a pack right now with a 2 blade 2inch cut.I've never really heard that much about the gators.I have seen the rages hole impressive to say the least. How well would they stand up to shoulder shots or rib bones.I have read some not so good stuff about the 3 blade version.I haven't heard any thing bad about the 2 blades. In your words good or bad could I get some info on these heads before I spend the money on them Please. ilhnter
I haven't shot the gators, but I do shoot the Rocky Mountain Snypers, which are a two blade mechanical head. I have had no problems with them and I plan on shooting them again this year. They leave a huge entry and exit hole, which leaves me a great blood trail to follow. These heads have no problem passing through rib bones, I get pass throughs with them almose every time. I have never shoulder shot one with these heads so I can't tell you much there. beagleboy
After last year's kill with rage 2, I am hooked. Huge entrance hole, awesome blood trail and the buck dropped within eyesight. I just bought another set this year before I can't find them.
Ohiobucks
I took out both shoulders of this buck last fall with a Rage 2 blade, his front legs were worthless as he bulldozed his way thru the woods for about 80 yards and expired. Awesome head IMO. I've got no experience with the other heads your looking at, just giving my $0.02 on the Rage.

I shot 3 deer with the Rage head last year. 1 was dead within 15 yards, another ran about 100 yards, we lost the blood trail on the 3rd one due to a dowpour of rain 1/2 hour after I shot, but I'm pretty sure that deer died too. It's a good head IMHO.
Leo
I'd stay away from the 3 blade version having read probably the same things you have. The 2 blade version has a loyal following. The only bad thing I've heard about the two blades is if you bump the broadhead before you shoot it the blades will deploy.
Guest titleist_03
I'm asking myself the same question about being worth the money. From what I've read they sure sound awesome, but they are pricey. I will probably end up with a pack before the season starts, but I'm holding off for now. I haven't tried them yet but I bought 3 packs within the last month to test them out on some deer here in MS before I take off to the midwest. maytom
Switched to the Rage 3-blade last season. After trying many mechanicals over the years, these flew the most accurately for me. I've seen first hand the damage done with these heads from my Cousins deer!! One word...awesome!!
Born4it
Somebody told me that the Rage 2 blade blew through the first shoulder and part way through the second...I'd say that'd be enough! I'd honestly shoot whichever one is the most accurate coming out of your bow. If you hit it in the right spot, they'll die :-) Good luck, Ryan
