RangerClay
Nothing major. But I was given a bunch of the 5 gallon white pails today. Half of them are so stuck together that I cannot pull them apart. Is there some magic formula for separating these things that you know of ? ThethirdI
If you have an air compressor you can shoot the air down the side of the top bucket into the edge of the next bucket down and just wiggle it around until it comes loose. If you don't have the compressor then I can't give you a magic answer. This has worked for me in the past. Hope it helps!
VermontHunter
A rubber mallet tapping along the sides has always worked for me ..
Shaun_300
Hmm not too sure Joe, I'd try sliding a screwdriver or something flat down the sides of them, all you need to do is break the vacuum seal and they'll come apart.
texastrophies
Nothing major. Since it is nothing major, I got a couple of thoughts. You could take and drill a hole in the bottoms of them, that should release them. Another thought would be to take a torch and heat them up, might work. You could always try WD40, also. Sorry couldn't resist :D:D
stevebeilgard
i've rolled them over, with my foot breaking the seal by pushing down. it's pretty tough. good luck. things that are free are often worth it... lol
Hoosierbuck
Anybody ever notice how much trouble "free" stuff gets you into? I can't tell you how many hours I have spent making something I got for free into something that almost worked for what I needed when I should have just put in a couple extra hours and made the money at work to outright buy a new one of whatever would have really done the job... BR44
Might try setting them in the sun for awhile, they may soften up some plus the air in each bucket should expand some which should help push against the next bucket. The only thing I can think of. Hope it helps (works also).
Buckslayer
Another person, some muscle, and not being afraid to each fall on your butt has always worked for me, lol. The air nozzle seems to be a good idea too.

Rolling them on an incline might be a good idea, might also try the air idea. Seems the last time I had buckets stuck together though I just shook the top one a bit and the bottom one eventually worked loose.
hutchies
Hold the bottom one with your feet. Twist the top one while pulling up on it.
