PAhunter14
A few weeks ago i built a feeder and put it on my hunting ground and filled it with shelled corn. There are 6-7 black bear and a few racoons eating the corn but the deer are'nt eating it. I was just wondering if there was anything i could mix with it so the deer would eat it.:D;)
Tominator
Don't really know for sure, but I'd guess they're avoiding the bear.

crazylegz70
right now the deer have too much green things to eat...corn is not a preferred food just yet..with the bear hanging out there, they will avoid the feeder I agree totally, I live in Illinois. My trail camera pictures have went from 20 pics in 2 days to 15 pictures in 5 days. I have noticed that deer tend to stay around the corn fields and other dense vegetation when it is growing this time of year.
sskybnd
i dont know about that, we were getting any where between 300 to 400 pics a week with deer eating our corn [ the pics of my deer] in here was all taken with my camra by the feeder that was full of corn, than the hogs moved in and we havent seen hide nore hair of the deer, maybe there staying away becouse of the bears, for the coons our deer didnt seem to mind them much. wtnhunt
Outside of seasons, used to use corn at one of our cams where we also have minerals, but we were getting so many pics of coons that I quit putting out the corn. Got plenty of deer pics too, but sure looked like the coons were the largest consumers of the corn.
