Very nice deer! Daylight pics. too. Thats always good. Not getting too many daylight pics. here in GA.

Oh yeah...did you notice the other deer in the 4th pic. behind the pines? Looks like the deer are moving good during the day.

I have to disagree I have seen and have gotten plenty of daytime pics of bucks, but I'm in N.GA.

The water trough is filled via a garden hose from a frost free hydrant approximately 100 feet away. I top off the tank every couple of days and completely drain and refill it once a week. That keeps the water fresh and alleviates a possible mosquito problem. We do not get enough rain here during July and August to cover the bottom of the trough. The trough is visible from the kitchen window (46 yards) and along with the small clover patch visible beyond the trough makes for some good deer watching along with various other critters that frequent the trough and/or clover. The addition of the water trough a few years ago has really been a key factor in holding the deer close. Here is another picture of a pretty nice 4x4.
