Dakota
Well, I'm a freelance outdoors writer and communicator and am going to the University of Sioux Falls for English/Multi Media Broadcast Journalism. I am a member of the Professional Outdoor Media Association and am on the writers panel for The Sportsman Channel Magazine. Lately, I've been doing some promotional work for Jake Fagan, the Public Relations Coordinator for Realtree, to promote a brand new website from Realtree. I eventually hope to land a steady position as a regular contributor to a national hunting magazine and have my very own hunting show as well. Mach1
Went to school for a job in wildlife (biology degree emphasis in ecology and environment), but that hasn't worked out. Since graduating in December of '05, I've been a lab technician in an environmental lab, we moved and I worked as a landscaper, and now I work in the environmental health office of a county health department as assistant sanitarian. Finally a good job with benefits. Not really what I want to do, but it's related to my college major and it's a good job that helps pay the bills. Still haven't gave up hope on a wildlife job though.
