deerkillr777
whats the best scents to use in the woods while bow hunting from early oct to mid nov here in pa
HOYTnMUZZYboy
I use a variety of scents. Mainly use Misses Doe Pee's line of scents. Or Tinks69 scent line. I have had killer results useing a drag rag with misses doe pees, doe in estrus urine on it. Not trying to make a sales pitch or bash anyother scent brands, but its worked great for me so far! Predator
Tinks 69 works even early at least for small bucks. Last year I set up a drag line. Last opener in October I hit a thin branch I hadn't seen in the dawn light when firing at a little 7 pointer at 30 yrds. The arrow flew over his back. He ran about 150 yards and came back up the drag line trail, turned to my left at 20 yards and I got my venison. The large bucks I got I just happened to be in a good spot at the time. I don't think the scent matter.
fly
I'm not in Pa, but I've had success with HS scent wafers (doe in estrus). Had a 150 incher walk past me just out of bow range. He was leaving and going downwind of me. He caught wind of the wafer and came back to check it out. Last mistake he ever made. This was in IL on Oct. 12th 2 years ago. The pre-rut was just starting. boonencricket
To be honest with you guys I mostly use nothing but a curiousity scent. Vanilla squirted in the trees and on old stumps and so forth. Something to hold them in my shooting lane for that extra few seconds. Then as it gets in to late October here I will try some tinks in some film cannisters around my stand along with a drag to about 30 yards of my stand then make a complete circle around my stand then tie it off in a tree, usually over one of my mock scraps. LifeNRA
For the first three or four weeks of archery season I use Tink's Draw 2 in my scent bombs. After that the Tink's 69 is used until the end of archery season. The Draw 2 is a curiosity scent that I have had good luck bringing them into. Flintlock1776
Just cover scents. I gave up on any of the deer scent 'attractants' and such

starbux
I go to great lengths to be as scent free as possible and don't use any scents. I've had them mess up some opportunities before and don't believe in them. Pressured deer in 'the real world' know what scents are imo. Born4it
The best scent, is total scent elimination. JMHO Very true... As far as attractants in early season, just Tinks Draw 2 and sometimes Trails End. I have a bunch of others I use around the end of October through the rut. Good luck! kyhunter
I am always hunting public land so i try to be as scent free as possible. With my years of hunting with the public around the rut phases, i have seen all kinds of attractants being used,so i figure if i can get behind the hunting pressure and have the wind right, this gives me usage of all there rutting scents around me and i am in the shadows with a good grunt call and usually successful every year. This is one of my best kept scent secrets, lol. kyhunter

ildrhntr
The best scent is NO SCENT at all. Be as scent free as possible and hunt smart. It works. I have a room full of proof.
