buckbuster11
Not sure if I am looking at the right one, but I'd say 80-90".
dfol20
I agree. Especially after the velvet is off, it will look smaller. It is better to underestimate velvet bucks.

That is such a young deer why not let him get bigger? hes not even close to his potential yet. I think 115 is pushing it a lot you would be lucky if that deer scored 100" Steve

toddyboman
85 to 90.......I would let him grow another year. But the choice is yours. Good luck
axman
Well there are bigger ones there i will have to wait and see what happens..That place i got the pictures from is not even my good spot lol...The deer in the picture will make it thru bow season if they stay on are side of the woods. But if the move they are going to be toast in gun season, people at the other farms will smoke both of them... Guest flockstopper
If you truly want to shoot trophy bucks, you have to do just that, shoot trophy bucks. That means you have to let ones like you have in your pictures walk. Don't worry, in a couple of years he will be worthy of the wall. Might mean going home with a tag in your pocket, but it's the only way to get em bigger, you have to let them grow. I haven't tagged a buck in 3 years, so I'm hoping this year is going to be good to me, but if not, I will be happy shooting does. Passed on a buck just like that last year, can't wait to see how big he is this year, so far I haven't gotten him on camera, but I'm sure he's there. Just my 2 cents
axman
I didnt get a deer last year because of this lol...And i hate to shoot doe's lol..I will shoot a lone doe but not one with kiddes in tow...

Might have trouble killing big bucks then, I know it's tough...I passed on an 8-point last year at 60 yards w/rifle that would have probably scored around 120...it's hard to do, but hopefully it will pay off. Besides, doe meat is nice and tender for the grill!! There is no shame in the season expiring with a tag in your pocket, lots of trophy hunters do that every year. Just remember, a lot of stuff you see on TV are guided hunts on a specifically managed ranch...to me..that isn't real world, so don't measure yourself by that. Bowtech_archer07
I would have to let him walk as well. He looks a like a 2.5 yr old deer to me. He will grow into an awesome deer in a couple years. I would say 100-110" tops, probably a little bit smaller than that.
wildthing
I'd guess around
starbux
I'd go with 95". Let him walk without worrying about whether he gets wacked by your nieghbors. One thing's for sure, if you kill him he won't grow.
Randy
One thing's for sure, if you kill him he won't grow.Yep! He's probably right around a 100". I'd let him walk. I used to think the neighbors killed everything but, they only have so many tags and they are done. If a buck makes it to 2 1/2 years of age (which is probably what this one is) they have a better chance of making it through gun season. At 3 1/2 years they get awfully smart and many will make it through yet another season and so on. If you want my advice, shoot the coyote!! Born4it
I'd say gross 100 for the big one, maybe 110 if he's still growing a bit. Good luck, Ryan
