Adjam5
I hunt primarily with a Marlin 30/30 in the thick woods of NY's Catskills. I use Speer 150 grn Grand Slam bullets handloads. The longest shot I have ever taken is 68 yards in 22 years. I only missed once with it at a running fox in west Texas:rolleyes:. The only rifle, I stand hunt with. On drives I take the .12ga Mossberg slug gun.

dbHunterNY
Used two for deer hunting... I got started using a Winchester Lever action 30/30, which my younger brother now uses. I now have a gun I got from my grandfather. It's a Remington Woodsmaster Semi-auto 30-06, it's the same model Michael Waddell grew up using (whatever model that is). I've forgotten what model # it is, but I remember him making a statement about it on a show. - Dan

Tetro
British .303, I had a cousin give it to me years ago. I started using it after I found my 30-30 had a chip in one of the sites. The toughest part with it was trying to find a clip that would fit it properly. Luckily I ended up finding 2.
turningcustomcalls
H & R Handi-Rifle chambered in 30-30. I like the size, the fact that it is a single shot break, and is very accurate. I have shot many deer with this gun, all sizes and distances. No problem so far.

Strut10
Not even sure how many "deer rifles" I own. The crazy thing is that I rarely hunt deer with a rifle. Usually always with a bow. But 9 chances out of 10, when I have a rifle in my hand hunting deer it's a Ruger 77 Mark II SS/Synthetic .300 Win Mag. with a 2x10 Weaver on top.
