Canuck2
My farmer neighbor phoned me this morning and said I should look across the road into his hay field. Sure enough, an albino coyote was doing some hunting - for grasshoppers, I believe. I scooted over there with my camera and got several photographs before it winded me and took off. Unfortunately, every time it had its head up it was moving and I got a lot of blurry pictures, mostly from too far away. This was the best of a bad lot. It appears to be a true albino, with pink nose and all. This is the first albino anything I've ever seen. Even with looking at thousands of deer over the year - usually 300+ just on our one day deer count every April - I haven't seen anything like it. Canuck2
Ya, I thought it was very cool, too. It appears to be a young coyote, probably this year's litter. But it was totally by itself and I wondered whether it was turfed by the rest of the family for being weird.

Canuck2
Neat picture! To me it looks like a young wolf. Do you have them in your area? We have had the infrequent unofficial wolf sighting here and it would seem they will arrive at some point. But this is definitely a coyote; I have several side views also but unfortunately all blurry to some degree.
