First off, it is E Coli. No one wanted to commit to what the bacteria is. However, I got a call from the Health Department on our trek home. They are releasing a 100% conformation that it is E Coli. I had to take a 45 minute, over the phone interview on what i've ate over the past two weeks.

The hospital finally placed me in a room at 3:30 Tuesday morning. After a CT Scan and several blood test they confirmed leashons in my small intestine and colon. That was enough for them to keep me. I also hadn't had anything to eat or drink for 24 hours and I was loosing fluids quickly. That caused extreme dehydration and caused horrible cramps in my legs, back, and joints. I had severe cramping in my stomach from the bacteria. I was very nauseous and my body temp shot up to 102... it was just horrible.

Yesterday the took blood hour after hour for testing. They also took countless stool samples. They are doing a culture on all of my samples to try and identify the strain of E Coli. I had no idea there was more than one type.

Anyway, I pretty much haven't slept since Sunday considering the nurses coming in every two hours. Giving me meds, taking blood, and shots in the stomach to keep away blood clots. Ive called in to work and will not be there until Tuesday. Im going to rest up this week.

Im on a very, very strict diet. I cant eat salt, pepper, sugar, etc. I have to eat blan, non-chewable foods. If I do start to run a fever or have diarrhea I am suppose to head to the hospital. Basically I was released on the pretense that I would not mess around at all if I had so much as a hint of any serious symptom.

This is going to go from bad to worse. This restaurant feeds roughly 1,000 people a day on the weekends. The sad part is its a great restaurant. They have had several surprise inspections and haven't had so much as a violation. There is a possibility that it is tainted products being delivered.

There is a lot here that I couldn't say without making the post a mile long. As things are brought to light Ill try to update everyone. Right now I just need some serious rest. I'm wiped out. Ill be here off and on for the next few days. I really cant do anything including taking care of our two girls. I cant be in contact with anyone elses food, mouths, saliva, etc. for risk of passing it on.

Thanks for the Prayers gang, they are very much appreciated.

Im glad your home bud! Just so you know the place your talking about had 9 serious health violations on it's last inspection according to newsok.com. You need to take more than five days off too bud! Don't mess around with this. I knew you'd pull through, and I'll continue to pray your strength returns soon. God bless bud!

Just so you know the place your talking about had 9 serious health violations on it's last inspection according to newsok.com.

However, the news builds this stuff up like you wouldn't believe. My wife's cousin is working the investigation. He has the list and said the violations are such as a ceiling tile that needs replaced and a fire extinguisher that needed charged. The health department gave them a sweep after this outbreak and they have a clean bill. I also have family that works there. She has told me they keep it very, very clean.

However, that doesn't sale for the media. They are blowing this up so that it looks like the restaurant was lax in food preparation and such. That is far from the truth.

Keep in mind in the 80's Jack In the Box had an outbreak. It wasn't a single restaurants poor habit but tainted meat. The word is this could possibly be the same thing.
