snapper
Palin has more courage in my honest opinion and more executive experience than Obama and Biden put together. I really do not see her having any trouble being able to give directives from the most powerful position on the planet in the event that McCain does not serve his full term. Think the fact that she has risen and proven herself in the manner she has says an awful lot for her leadership ability. How has she proven herself? Its easy to lead a small crowd who has the same views as you do...the reality of the situation is that there are cities in the U.S. that are more populated and more diverse than the entire state she has governed for 1 year. How would she handle lobbist and special interest groups that differ in her opinion? I don't know...like I said, I like her...just don't think she can help McCain win. Lets hope there are more people who just don't want Obama in. I'd really like to see a voting revolution and all republicans vote for Bob Barr! How would she handle lobbist and special interest groups that differ in her opinion? She beat out the incumbent governor and has stood up to and cleaned up corruption under her leadership. She has been in office as governor for 20 months which obviously is not very long, but she has gotten a lot done in that time, how long is long enough and what qualifies a senator with no executive experience to be a better pick. As to the question on how would she handle those who differ from her opinion, my guess would be probably somewhat similarly to how she has handled those who she has dealt with who were corrupt, go straight at them. smallmunster
I had never heard of Palin, but I think it might have been a good choice. Her lack of Washington experience might not be a bad thing. All they have to do is use Obama's ads on his own lack of experience from early in the primaries where he twisted that into a good thing. Pretty hard to attack your own ads. There are a lot of women that were displeased they way hillary got treated as well so picking a woman might tap into that anger and get him some more votes. When she debates biden he will have to be careful to not look like he is badgering her. Right or wrong, it is harder to beat up on a woman during a debate than a man without looking bad. Remember Hillary and her senate debate several years ago, her opponent lost the election (or any chance he had at at least) because he looked like he was being too harsh with her. The dems might be getting some of their own medicine now. She surely helps him with many conservatives, sportsmen, pro-lifers, and gun-owners. I personally think it is OBama that is in more trouble. With the everything that has happened the last couple years and his huge momentum earlier this year to not even have a double digit lead after his convention should be troubling to him. As for being worried about Hilary in 4 years I would like to see Palin vs Hillary. Assuming she delivers like she did on her VP speech I think she would be a nightmare for Hillary. Contrast Hillary's style with what Palin has shown and I think she makes Hillary look really bad. I think the real risk with her is she now has to prove she can perform on the big stage vs. more localized elections.
BowJoe
What kills me is all the kool aid some have swallowed from the Obama media fans that were supposed to be at the dem convention to report only. They were filmed chanting and cheering right along with crowds and applauding every speech. They are also maxed out donors to the dems campaign funds. As a citizen of Illinois and growing up here all my life, I have to say that Obama has done nothing in this state but prepare for this election campaign from day one. He voted over 180 times as "Present" instead of having a record of deciding either way on important subjects just so he wouldn't have a back track record for this election. He has done nothing and I will say that the only reason he has made it this far is because he is a half black man who speaks proper and without having to rhyme his statements. He is like a Tyler Perry movie to show that black people can talk without slang and with good posture. I can tell you first hand that he is as useless as the day is long and is only making a great puppet for the other Dems to stick their hand up his rear and make him talk. Has anyone ever seen Distinquished Gentlemen with Eddie Murphy? There you have it. He said from 2004 all the way up to 2006 that he was not running for office of President yet here he is because he was poked and prodded into it by the dems that needed a celebrity to get them back in. If he does win, he will be worse than Billary and we will lose more rights than you can shake a stick at. Illinois, I am afraid, will get the worst of the deal. We already send our tax dollars to the state of Chicago and now we will be over run with liberal laws banning everything from hunting to gun ownership. Mark my words. If Obama gets in, it will be a democrat free for all.

oldksnarc
Palin was an awesome choice and the dems are running scared. Her introductory speech was hands down better and had more substance than all of the speeches during the DNC. Liberal blogs are already hammering her because her 17 year old daughter is 5 months pregnant. That should eb the last thing dems would attack given their stand on that. Even Osama has come out against attacks on family and, especially, children. He's not without merit.
Texan_Til_I_Die
I'm just waiting until the first liberal reporter gets in Bristol's face and her fiance, Levi Johnston, unloads on him!
ksbowhntr77
Even Osama has come out against attacks on family and, especially, children. He's not without merit. Stop and think about that though, he said that so nobody digs in his family "closet"...... I bet if we Republicans did it wouldn't be pretty at all. And lastly not to change the thread subject but.... has anyone put any thought as to whether BHO can pass a security clearance???????????
