ruttinbuc
This 5 point was out feeding in the rain this evening. 3 on one side and a fork on the other were free of velvet. Looks like an early fall....
Canuck2
Wow, that IS early. Everything I've seen around here is still packing velvet.
wtnhunt
That is probably one of the biggest 5 pointers I have seen. Nice pics.
ruttinbuc
Here is a another view of those clean antlers. He is the first rack buck I have seen in my hunting area. Seeing a lot of spikes and scrubs. Hope this guy makes it through this season at least.
OUTDOORLIFE3
wow, great pics...this is very early, is that normal for your area?
ruttinbuc
wow, great pics...this is very early, is that normal for your area? In my experience it is. I have seen velvet as late as the last week of September here. Most is gone by the middle of the month. I also saw a spike and a 3 point, both in velvet, butting heads on this trip. ( just kids, they will learn to protect that headgear as they get older);)The tips on the both deer were starting to show. There was not enough light to get their picture.
