elnor
Does anyone have a recommendation for hair-on elk hide tanning? I have a KY cow elk tag for this fall and I'd like to have the option to save the hide, but so far I haven't found anyone that does hair-on elk hides. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. RTF
No different then doing a deer hide, but with a lot and I mean alot more work involved. Elk hides are dirty, full of mud and grime usually and the males are the worse. The last elk I tanned, I had to use a kiddy pool, because my 33 gallon tanning drums were no match.
