I don't know the exact answer to this, but I think that ND has played in more BCS games since 2000 than Michigan. Again I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure ND has been in 3 and Michigan in 2 since 2000.....

Has much as I truly hate michigan they will be a better team under rich if you guys give him time to adjust the program(this year plan on a 7 win season). What he did at WV could be the 8th wonder of the world. I mean how in the heck do you get kids to come to the backwoods of WV???? Michigan will return to glory in about 3-5 years and probably will win a national title within 7 would be my guess......

Wow I'm starting to wonder if I drank tonight b/c I just said something nice about michigan.....Yuck...I'm gonna wash my mouth out with soap now.....

Michigan has been in 4, Notre dame has been in 3.;) Not that it really matters, neither has played well in them. Michigan has one win and ND has 0

IF Notre Dame wins 7-8 games this year, it'll be because of that weak schedule they have. I just don't see them improving that much in one year. Not with that horrible offense they had last year. I'm not sold on Charlie Weiss either. But at least you're not predicting 11 wins like that ssssllllurrring Lou Holtz, man that guy is annoying, not just the way he talks, but his absurd predictions, almost like he has no clue about the game.

Yawn. ND and Beatyaagain both suck.

Can we change the subject to something a little more relavant that actually might have an impact on the world of sports?;):D

Anyway, I see Rich's Head Coaching career at Beatyaagain lasting one, maybe two more seasons. Good thing he couldn't use Mallet because his skill set didn't fit the offense. A big time Blue Chipper certainly isn't better than the two bums Richy rolled out there at QB on Saturday. Yikes.:o

If I didn't hate everything about Beatyaagain, I'd almost be concerned. I do have to say seeing them lose the first week on the season- at home- two years running was great.

I wasnt a big Rich Rod guy when they hired him but I believe that in three years when he has more of his own recruits here, he will have a very good team. Not much you can do with such an inexperienced offense. Its definatly gonna be a bad year for Michigan football. So you guys can keep on kicking us when where down, but we will be back.

You act like I was going to wait for your permission. You know me better than that bud.:D

I agree, with talent more suited for his silly playground offense, they'll be able to run it better. But that type of goofy, backyard ball offense only works (sort of) in the Big East and the weaker conferences. It won't work that well in the Big Ten...maybe against Northwestern, but the Buckeyes, the Wisconsins, the Iowa's of the world will snuff it out. Plus, the UM boosters won't put up with this guy long enough for him to bring in his type of players.

He's fired by 2010.

Well like I said earlier I hate Michigan, but Rich will bring a whole new dimension to the big ten and I think he will roll them up in a few years. The spread offense has KILLED the big ten in past matchups, now why wouldn't it work in the big ten? Muggs as much as you hate michigan, as I do, you'd better be ready for a shake up in the Big Ten. I think this will force the Big Ten to start recruiting "speed" b/c in college. Speed beats smash mouth 8 out of 10 times.....Florida, Texas, OU, Miami, USC, Oregon, Cal, ETC.........

You already are seeing a shift in the Big Ten in terms of players....Juice Williams Ill, Pryor OSU, Lewis IU...These are all scramble QBS and the trend will continue once UM gets a guy...The Big Ten has finally realized what the rest of the nation found out in the last 10 years and that is a mobile QB can wreck defenses.......

With our two 3rd string Qb's, its to bad that our boosters didnt outbid ($$$) ohio st. for Pryor. We could use him right now. In three years we will see what Rich Rod is made of.

The Big Ten does recruit for speed hoosier. OSU has more players drafted into the NFL (and a ton of 1st rounders) with plenty-o speed my friend.

The reason the SEC teams are viewed to be so much better, is in my opinioin due to the deeper, harder schedules they play. Every year, there's always a few bowl like games played in the SEC. The Buckeye teams led by Troy Smith that faced Florida wasn't tested and came in over confident, last year's team was a little head of schedule.

This is the best chance OSU has to win a title, but only with a healthy Beanie.

Anyway, the reason OSU had trouble matching up against Florida's spread, is due to the fact they've never really faced it. Give them time, they'll figure it out with the talented defenses they produce. Heck, going even further, a big reason Utah was able to win was due to the fact they run the spread too.

So there are merits to "playground ball," eh?
