Mirage
How old do you think this deer is and what do you think he will score?
ildrhntr
Hmmm.....Well I think he is at least 3 1/2 but it is hard to tell on the score but if you take into consideration what you can see I think he is at least 125 inches maybe higher if I could get a good look at his mass and width. Mirage
here is a better look
ildrhntr
He will make the Pope & Young minimum of 125 depending on his deductions he might make the book
Guest flockstopper
3 1/2, probably will be low 120's when velvet is shed. Let 'em grow.
HuntnMa
not good at scoring but i would say 3.5, maybe even 4.5 but i can't say for sure....when you kill him ,get his jawbone and we'll know for sure
wtnhunt
Kind of heavy for a 3.5 year old, could be a 4.5 year old. Hard to score from that pic, but would guess the 120's is pretty close.
Tominator
I'd guess 3, maybe 4. For score, I'd guess 115 to 120.
Guest Primetime/IL
at least 3.5yrs and 120-125"
Jorden
At lest 3 but looks more like 4 to me. Probably go around 120-
toddyboman
I'd guess 3, maybe 4. For score, I'd guess 115 to 120. i agree:cool:
Rhino
Based on his chest, belly, and waist line I'd say he's 4 or 5 and I lean more toward the 5 year old side. As soon as he starts rubbing he should have that barrel chested look to him too. I think he'll score around 125 gross.
Mirage
he looks old to me. From the other game cams pics I have he looks to be the oldest so far or biggest. I also think hes about 120s I sure would like a crack at him in the daylight hours!. I do have a plan to get close to his bedding. I think it might just work. I hope so. There is one other deer I am after also he is younger then this one i call him drop I will post a pictur later and you will see why:D
JKAPP01
i wouldn't necessarily say wait til he gets bigger, if you have any info that suggests maybe he won't get any bigger or the deer in your area don't get much bigger than shoot him by all means....i'd say 125-130....if you want him, shoot him..... hoosierhunter
I would cal him 4.5, but on the rack I'm gonna go about 115. Velvet makes them look a few inches bigger.....Either way if he's 4.5 shoot him in my book unless you got your eye on something bigger b/c his genetics aren't that good if he's truly is 4.5 years old.... Leo
That little pouch forming between the forelegs and just starting to get pot bellied makes 4 1/2 a good guess. Better than nine inches back tines and good main beam length. Mass will probably be average. He'll scare either side of 125 I'd guess. Mirage
Oh dont get me wrong guys I am going to take him ,:)if I get a shot!
HUNTINGMAN
Who cares about scores, that thing is a shooter for sure.In the area I hunt in if you dont shoot him you may never see anything that big again all season, the big deer just are not there like they were in the past. Bowtech_archer07
I think he's a 3.5 yr old deer, and i'd say 125-135. It's soo difficult to score a deer when he's in velvet tho.
Guest Bigbuckor2
I would say 3.5 yrs old and in mid to high 120's.
fly
Before shooting I'd wait for the angle that presented the antler spread (can't tell from the pic). My first impression is that he's a shooter. Antlers look thick, decent tine length, and symetrical. I doubt there would be much in the way of deductions. I generally guess lower than others, but this time I'd say he'll gross in the 130's and net right at 130. If he doesn't make P&Y I'd be surprised. I'd say he's a 3&1/2 year old. WHISKEYSWAMP
I'd guess him at 4.5 and around 130-135 gross... he looks bigger than one of my eight pointers that scores 125.
Guest browning8803
he looks to be about 4 to 5 years old and will be in the 120's
Guest DeerHuntingIsLife
Nice Buck. Good luck with him. What type of grain do you have down in the picture?
Guest bone collecter
Kind of heavy for a 3.5 year old, could be a 4.5 year old. Hard to score from that pic, but would guess the 120's is pretty close. i would agree here belly is too big for 3.5 and his back is starting to sway i would let him go another year or
