ruttinbuc
It was a wet and miserable day in our part of Wyoming, but our group managed a couple of good bucks. This is not an easy game in good weather let alone on a day like today. Just goes to show what being out there in those conditions with a super experienced guide (SteveB) and perserverance can accomplish..... Leo and Canuck2 with their antelope and a few pics taken by Leo;) Leo with a first thing in the morning kill. It was awesome to watch him put the hammer to this beautiful buck... Canuck2 hammered his buck from fifty yards later in the day. Again I was witness to a fantastic shot. Great paddles on this one... Bedded bucks taken with the long zoom... These antelope were blessed with a white butt so we can see them as they run away...
Tony
we finally made it home me and Steve D ( Bowtechturkeyhunter) made it home to Iowa. what a great time we had with some close freinds and i also got the chance to meet some very special people. i want to first off give a big Thank you to Steve B and his wife Rilda. they opened there home to us and let us have a place to hang out and meet and great. there kindness and generosity and patience was unending. Steves Knowledge about antelope and stalking is second to none. it was a pleasure to learn a lot about antelope and hunting them. it information that will help me in the future im sure. i hope these few pics i have will somewhat explain the vastness of this ranch that Steve B has to hunt on. it was my first trip to Wyoming and it will not be the last for sure. Steve( bowtechturkeyhunter) your a fun guy to travel with and really appreciate having someone to keep me company for 1600 miles in my new truck. you are truely a giving person, sometimes it gets a little deep;), but i also know if i need anything i can call on you. Buckee, the look on your face when i stepped out from behind Steve D was great. it was the look i was hoping to get. it was my pleasure to see you again and share some time with you. i wish you all the best and God bless buddy. i got the chance after many many years to finally meet Mike(ruttinbuc). Mike it was just great touring the ranch each day with you spotting goats and trying to get you set up on one that would hold still. truely i will remember you and me sharing some time together in Wyoming. you shot a really nice goat and you should be proud of such a nice one your first trip out. they are not the easiest thing to hunt are they . there were so many people i met and each impressed me. Leo i cant tell you how happy i am that you got a antelope and watching that stalk take place the other day was probably the most exciting thing i have ever seen. you my friend are a truley gifted person and i wish you many many happy hours hunting and doing everything you love. the dvd you gave me is something i will cherish forever. heres to Jack Canuck2 thanks for the honey, i just had some on a piece of toast and its great. congrats on your antelope and sharing your hunting soories you have. man that razortec sure can shoot, 50 yards ! dang man what a shot. i sure wish i could have seen it. Luke i know the guys were on you kinda hard about the misses, but you know it takes a special kind of person to laugh along with them and then get back at it. you sure worked hard and showed patience. it wa s apleasure to meet you as well. Kathleen ( roadkill sheep hunteress) it was great to meet you and thank you for your kindness and stories, the mountain goat we ate sat night was great. Scott H, as always a pleasure to see you again. you are the man that makes the engine go. always the one that adds to this gang. it was great to talk to you . like you said i wish we could make people understand how special these events are. Wyo and the Ohio boys, didnt get much of a chance to talk to you all. but them Ohio bys took some nice goats from 40+yards. i cant tell you all how special this trip was for me. i have dreamed of going to Wyoming for my whole life and i got the chance to spend my first time with people that love the outdoors as much as i do. VermontHunter
Here's a few views from the water hole blind I sat in ... Sunset ... This is blind I was in ... Ameristep Doghouse.. Here's a couple great sunrises .. Kathleen thought she would be cute and snap some pictures of the guys early in the morning before we headed out to the blinds, so I caught her off guard and snapped one of her ... :D Here's one of Steve B.'s house and Greenhouse .. Steve's greenhouse is a necessity as the Antelope and Mule deer will eat everything in site .. This one isn't hunting related,, it's one I took of my terrifying flight into Gillette where I truely thought I was a goner .. I've never experienced such turbulence in my life .. Hope you enjoyed the pics ...

Randy
Great updates guys!! Congrats to Leo and Jack on a couple great animals! I'm sitting here enjoying everyone's own view of their hunt, although everyones story is a bit different, they all are the same in the fact that whether there was a kill involved or even a couple misses, everybody has made some new friends and are really just sitting back and enjoying the hunt. Kudos to everyone involved and a special thanks to Steve B. for just "being who he is". BTW,........I'm sooooo jealous!!!

Has your boy come down off his high yet ?? That sure was one nice goat and a heck of a shot too ... :) You'll have to post the pictures of the euro mount when it's finished .. It sure was great meeting you and your son, you definately have one to be proud of there ... If there's a next time in my lifetime, the goats had better watch out... ruttinbuc
Had the pleasure of hunting with Randy Oitker and his dad today. What a pair! We were with SteveB driving around this beautiful land looking for a good buck antelope to spot and stalk. We attempted a few stalks where we might have been able to get the drop on one, but all proved to be futile. These things are a lot tougher to hunt than some would think. You neeed to find the lone bucks away from too many eyes and hope that one does not spot you from an unseen location and send out the warning bark. Randy did have a shot at one this morning from a ground blind in a heavy fog and grazed the animals back. We saw the antelope with the wound and it looks like he will be even bigger next year. Even the best in their craft can miss. Randy was a little disappointed, but thats hunting. He and his dad had to leave to head for a show in Little Rock, Arkansas. These two were a lot of fun.... All and all a good day weatherwise and otherwise. Buckee and Kathleen are still looking to to fill a tag while Jack and Leo are trying to get their doe tags filled. I took a lot of pictures again, but had a little trouble uploading them. I will try tomorrow. I did get to do some video camera work with Jimmy Sykes in the morning. He and his crew are here to film for his Southern Outdoors Show. Good bunch of guys.... Until tomorrow, Good ol' rb
Leo
I'm still here. No one else has connected yet. I gots lots of pictures and stories to share. What a group of fabulous people to hunt with. Gonna try and follow Tony's very kind lead and try to address as much as I can remember about everyone. Not to fear for the folks still hard at it (Buckee and Kathleen). There are still plenty of dandy ones like this walking around. I took this photo yesterday. And now even though I shouldn't, I'm gonna take a nap! Steve Beilgards grandson needs prayers. I'll let him explain if he chooses too. Just please pray folks. News from home. My wife didn't have to evacuate for Hannah. Our dog had nine seizures yesterday. My wife wants me back home yesterday! Pray for this guy folks. It's hard on me and my wife me not being there helping her with this.
